Today, I want to talk to you about your priorities. I’ve been talking with my clients lately and it seems that we, especially as women, moms, or people who care for others often get our priorities a little mixed up. You know how they say, put your oxygen mask on first before you help somebody else? Well, this is what I’m talking about. When you let your internal signals be pushed down, ignored, or put to the side, those signals get more prominent.
With that said, I invite you to take an inventory of those niggling pains or those aches. Did they once only occur occasionally, but now have become more frequent? Well, we’re so used to putting other’s needs before our needs that now we are wondering what happened.
Now is the time to rise up! What is it that you need for your body to continue helping other people? What are your priorities for yourself? Maybe you’d like to find the cause of your back pain. Perhaps that pain started in your back and now is in your hip or is going all the way down your leg and the exercises that a Physical Therapist gave you a while ago are no longer helping. Or, it could be that you’ve been so busy helping others that you’ve forgotten to do them.
Taking care of yourself is so important. This is why many times you need guidance and support to help get to a point where you are feeling better. You need a plan and someone coaching you along the way. Addressing the issues that are bothering you and dedicating time to work on them for a period of time can make a huge difference in your life.
