BS in Physical Therapy since 1991 and has practiced in Orthopedics, Neurological rehab and geriatrics settings. Her practice has always been focused on the whole person and functional movement and balance though the skills taught in PT school were more focused on detailed segmental assessment and treatment. Michelle’s early experience with the Bobath method of neurological rehabilitation gave her insight to see the whole body function using what you have and facilitating what you don’t. Once introduced to Aston Kinetics, Michelle felt at home with the integrated system of Assessment, bodywork, movement coaching, fitness and ergonomics. .Aston Kinetics is not just a technique but a whole system based on the unique math of the body..A system that not only had accurate assessment and problem solving, but offered accurate bodywork, movement work, fitness and ergonomics
On a personal note, Michelle had another reason to search for a system that had advanced problem solving and accurate techniques; her personal pain challenges lingered and limited her ability to be as active as she wanted. After investigating many different modalities, Aston Kinetics allowed resolution of her pain.
Michelle continues to be a lifelong learner, adding Functional Medicine Coaching to her programs as well and Advanced Postural Neurology to her system to advance the importance of bringing the neurological systems in play with her programs.
Frequency and microcurrent treatments have been a part of Physical Therapy practice since the beginning. An exciting new technology has emerged for home use and can be added to your treatment program. This can be a powerful treatment to manage pain and create harmony and balance in the body.
